The Savvy User's Guide to Technology in Chatham
Welcome Letter

New Employee,

Welcome to Chatham County Schools!   I am thrilled that you chose to work in Chatham County. We have a lot going on with Technology:
  • Our high schools have a 1-to-1 Student Laptop Program that provides students a free laptop that they can use both at school and at home to extend the walls of the classroom and expand learning opportunities.
  • Our schools are rolling out iPads and iPod Touch devices, throughout the county in 2013-14.
  • We have one of the fastest, and best, wireless networks in the state of North Carolina.
  • In our K-8 Schools we boast a ratio of nearly 1 current generation computer for every 3 students district-wide.
  • The 2013-14 school year will mark the first teacher laptop refresh in six years and is the beginning of a regular teacher technology refresh schedule.
Chatham County Schools is committed to educational technology and Technology Services is committed to helping you and your students succeed with it. You have joined us at an exciting time and we look forward to working with you! Technology Services consistently works to support curriculum initiatives, update technology resources, and conserve assets.  Support is comprehensive and on-going throughout the school year.
